~CL - Rocky (American Staffordshire Terrier) Large - Male

Rocky (a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier) is STILL in need of a forever home. He is still, essentially, homeless although he does have people looking out for him. Rocky is good with men and women and would be O.K. with children over the age of five. He is a sturdy dog and could easily knock down younger children or the elderly. Rocky doesn't mind cats and may be O.K., after proper introductions, with a balanced dog about his size. Rocky is up-to-date on shots, neutered and weighs 70 lbs.. He is house trained and loves rides in the car.
Rocky is currently attending the Marcum Mtn Dog School and while he is making excellent progress, he still has a way to go on fear issues. New life experiences are a work in progress but he is adjusting very well. Here are some of the things that Rocky is learning or has learned in the company of his trainer and Best Friend: Loose leash walking with pack members (HUGE), is crate trained and loves his man cave; is building confidence with obedience and "Place" command with distractions; and the best part ~ hitting the treadmill baby!!!! Slow go to build confidence and release some of his energy making continued training exciting and useful for noises, unfamiliar people, dogs, etc... Rocky has lost some weight and is very svelt and proportioned =)
A new life ~ A new atmosphere ~ A new boy seeking progress not perfection <3
When Rocky Handsomepants is ready for his forever home, it is part of the contract that he continue his training with Marcum Mtn Dog School to assure a smooth transition and success. Will post when Rocky is getting close but in the meantime a benevolent Foster would be PAWSOME! ONLY YAVAPAI COUNTY, ARIZONA RESIDENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR CONTINUED TRAINING
Rocky is the most loving, joyful boy in the presence of people he adores and finds comfort in. Like to snuggle? He's your boy. Like to hike? He's your boy. Like a leisurely day in the back yard hanging out and swimming? He is definitely your boy! Rocky has wonderful house manners, is crate trained, and his world is getting better and better daily.
If you would like more information on Rocky, please make contact here and we will answer any and all questions for this delightful, handsome boy. THANK YOU
