Events

United Animal Friends hosts and participates in a number of events throughout the year.  Come join or visit us!

Woof Down Lunch
Woof Down Lunch is one of our biggest events each year, held in May or June on the beautiful Courthouse Square in Prescott. It is a day where people can bring their dogs for a day of food, activities, demonstrations, music, shopping and fun! We provide a picnic lunch, handcrafted pet food bowls, and pet food samples along with a variety of fun things to see and do. Vendors and exhibitors come from all over the state to show their products and services to people and their pooches. The day is filled with demonstrations on agility, dog training, K-9 police dogs, and the highlight of the day - our Best in Show Contest - featuring competition for coveted awards in categories like Best Ears and Best Wiggle Butt.

070Rummage for the Rescues
We hold our rummage sale each fall for avid bargain hunters who like to shop for a cause. The sale is so big, we can't even do it in one day, so it usually takes place for five days or so, with any remaining items on the final day being sold for half price. We accept donations for about a month in advance so whether you want to clean out your closets or fill them - or both - come see us!

Palace3cropPaws in the Palace
Paws in the Palace is a dinner theater held each November in the historic Palace Restaurant on Whiskey Row in Prescott. The entertainment is provided by Marshall Trimble, Arizona's hysterical State Historian. There's no better fun than enjoying a fine meal while being regaled with tall tales and songs from our favorite entertainer.

dogwash17Dog Washes
The Laundromutt is open for one day each April and August at Whiskers Barkery on Gurley Street in Prescott, where we will wash and towel dry your dog for the low price of $10, or provide the "spa" treatment, including a wash, creme rinse, blueberry facial and nail trim for just $20! It's a bargain for you and it's great fun for us too!

UAF Reunion Picnic
In August we hold our UAF Reunion Picnic in the ramada near the dog park on Willow Creek Road in Prescott. We encourage all adopters to come and bring their adopted pets or photos to share. Our foster parents just love having the chance to reconnect with the animals that they have helped place in their forever homes.

This is one of our favorite events, because it gives everyone a chance to bring their dogs out for an evening under the stars enjoying a chili dinner, live music, and draft beer. This event is held each September, when the stars are aligned and the weather is perfect!

WHETTEN-166-5Pet Photos
Professional-quality photos in our "studio" at Whiskers Barkery on Gurley Street in Prescott, where we create Valentine's Photos, Halloween Photos and Photos with Santa each year. You can be in the photos with your pet or not, as you wish. And you can choose a framed photo or get a CD with all the shots (even the fun out takes) for the same low price!

perfectdogsLast Minute Stocking Stuffer
Each December, United Animal Friends participates in the Last Minute Stocking Stuffer held at the Prescott Activity Center ("The Old Armory") on Gurley Street in Prescott. There, we offer for sale many one-of-a-kind handmade items, like "The Perfect Dog," who doesn't bark, shed or chew!
