~CL - Midnight (DSH Black) - Adult - Male

Midnight is a beautiful, DSH black male with a bit of white on his chest. He is about 2 ½ years old. He loves to sit next to his foster mom and get petted. He also loves to sit on her lap.

He lived as an outside cat before he was taken in, given vaccinations and neutered. He is now an inside cat. However, he contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). The FIV virus (not spreadable to humans) is generally a slow-acting virus, so symptoms may never appear or not appear until years after infection. Most people feel that FIV cats should live alone and not with other cats to avoid the possibility of exposure and guarantee that healthy cats are not infected.

Recent research on FIV cats living with other cats has shown that FIV is not easily passed between cats as it cannot be spread casually through litter boxes, food and water bowls, or snuggling and playing. This disease is transferred when an infected cat bites another cat and breaks the other cat’s skin. This means that a neutered cat in a home is highly unlikely to infect any other cats as long as they are properly introduced or are not particularly aggressive in nature.

Please consider giving this wonderful fellow a good, loving home. We will be happy to provide more information about this.

Midnight is current on shots and is neutered.
