Cruiser (Terrier Mix) Medium - Male

Cruiser we think is a terrier mix, he weighs about 45lbs. He loves everybody and gets along well with other dogs and has lived in a home with a cat.  He loves chase and playing ball. This special guy is fully house broken and can be left in the house with a companion dog and has not been destructive in his foster homes. He has high energy and is good on leash.  He would do well in an active home and/or with one or more playful dogs.  He loves hard chew toys.

Cruiser came to the rescue in February, and he was in rough shape.  He had a gut full of rocks and infection and a painful right hind leg with 2 dislocated fractures, his leg had to be amputated due to these old injuries.  His body condition was very poor.  All of those issues have been dealt with, and he is a happy and healthy boy full of energy ready to find his forever home.

Because of his early gut issues, he is not given bones, horns or rawhide to chew on but has other toys he loves.  He also settles well and is a calm member of the household.  He sleeps all night on his own bed beside his foster mother who promised him the moment he first arrived that “life only gets better from here”.  If you are interested in helping keep that promise, please fill out the match making form to begin the process.

Our adoption fee of $125.00 helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not ship our adoptables out of state and to ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.
