There are many different Volunteer activities that are vital to the success of United Animal Friends:

ANIMAL-RELATED ACTIVITIES

Foster Animals
Every animal who is fostered is a life saved.  Foster dogs or cats live with you just like one of your own, until their forever home is found.  UAF pays for all veterinary expenses, and can provide transport and food.  All Fosters have trouble letting go when the right home is found, but knowing how many more homeless animals need your help makes it possible.  It's so rewarding to see the happy pictures as the years go by.

Transport Animals
UAF animals in Foster sometimes need to go to the vet or an Adoption Event.  When the Foster requests transport, the Transporter helps out.  There is also a need for transport of donated items.  UAF will pay for gas.

Adoption Events
Dogs and cats at Adoption Events need Animal Handlers to care for them, keep them calm, and visit with potential Adopters.  Everyone has fun at Adoption Events.

Feral Cat Program
UAF's Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) Program needs volunteers to trap feral cats, and transport them to and from the vet.  Helping a cat colony to stop growing is vitally important, and save so much suffering!!

Walk Dogs
Dogs at Prescott Animal Control (PAC) really appreciate getting a out of their cages for a walk.  Pick one day a week and join the fun.  The dogs will give you a smooch to thank you!

FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES

Fund Raiser Events
UAF does a large fund raiser each quarter, and smaller ones all the time.  You could bake for a holiday bake sale, talk to potential corporate sponsors, sell tickets, post items to the on-line auction.  There are so many things to do that there's something for everyone!

Friend Finder Tabling
A Friend Finder is also needed at each Adoption Event to visit with people who might like to become volunteers and/or to receive the UAF Newsletter.  If you enjoy talking to people, this vital job is for you!

Grants
Grant writing is an important source of funds.  Join the team at UAF and get a thrill when the grant you write pays off!

Recycling Program
UAF recycles cell phones, ink cartridges, video games and digital cameras.  Empty a box from a location near you or help find businesses that will let you place a box with them.  Everyone feels good about recycling, especially when the profits go to help the animals.

OFFICE-RELATED ACTIVITIES

Telephone Work
UAF gets lots of calls.  They go to a message phone.  Volunteers pick one or two days a week when they will clear the messages, call the people back, or forward the message to the proper person.
