Bert (DMH Brown Tabby) - Adult - Male

Bert is a very handsome, domestic medium hair brown Tabby male who is about 8 years old. He is so sweet and affectionate and leans in for pets and chin rubs. He loves to lie on the window sill and watch the birds outside.

Bert has a hyper- thyroid condition and will need thyroid medication for the rest of his life. This is a transdermal gel medication – it is not expensive and it easily administered by rubbing into the skin on the ear (no pills!).

Except for his thyroid condition which is easily managed, he seems to be in good health. He was given a complete medical exam – his blood work was good and he does not have any urinary tract issues. He has a bit of plaque build-up on his teeth but no signs of dental disease. He is slightly overweight and will need a little bit of a diet to help him lose weight and maintain weight.

He does not seem reactive when he sees dogs, but we believe he will require a slow introduction to other cats and dogs.

Bert is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is neutered.

Our adoption fee for one altered adult cat (7+ years old) is $75 and for two altered adult cats is $90 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues.
